Week One

Today is centered around getting materials out and getting acquainted with everything.   We’ll start with coding.  Don’t worry if we have problems with the computers that’s why we are doing this early in the session.  We need to know what is working and what is not.

1.  Flashing heart tutorial

Google: micro:bit makecode or go to makecode.microbit.org

    • Under “Tutorials”, select Flashing Heart. It is the first tutorial
    • Select “Blocks” as the programming language.
    • Follow the instructions at the top of the page

 

2.  Dice Tutorial 

Google: micro:bit makecode or go to makecode.microbit.org

    • Select the Dice Tutorial. It’s a few tutorials to the right of the flashing heart tutorial
    • Select “Blocks” as the programming language.
    • Follow the instructions at the top of the page

 

3.  Turn a servo/motor
