Wire

Scissors, wire cutters, or wire strippers

If you do not have fancy wire strippers chances are you are using scissors.

Start by making just a notch 1/4 from the end of the wire.  You don’t want to cut the wire, just lightly cut (nick) the plastic coating. This coating is called insulation.

Grip the wire with your finger nails at the exact point that you nicked the insulation and pull.

If everything went right your wire should look like this when you are done.

Be careful not to strip to much insulation from the wire – you do not want bare wires to accidentally cross.
