Congratulations on finishing Project Make It.  This year was a special year that will be like no other and we made it.  I am so proud of everyone!  We have awards to give out 🙂  We wish we were able to have a big event and hand them out in person but we’re doing it over ZOOM.  All the teams will be there and at least we can have a moment for the kids to share what they made.  We have trophies, prizes and raffles to give away.

Weeks 11-12

Week 5

Planning, and Building

Last week was fun building and you are making great progress.  Here are your tips for the week:   Communicating ideas is going to be crucial.  You need to describe or draw your ideas for others to help.   We discussed pinball being your theme, what parts of a pinball machine do you think you can make? Find some pictures online of pinball machines you like and post them on our post them on our Padlet page.  While you are designing your obstacle continue to work on the base and layout.  I’ve started a page dedicated to base construction to help with the details.  Use the links below to get a headstart 🙂

Week 4

Planning Building and Motors

Great start on your mini golf hole.   I was really happy to see how much progress you have made.  Here are some tips for the week, see you Thursday 🙂  Get your theme nailed down, it will help your plan.  Make sure your hole can be broken down into pieces for transportation.  The turf around the hole will need to be elevated to the height of the cup you are using for the hole.  During class we will work on ways to turn a motor.  Use the links below to get a headstart 🙂
